Meet the magnificent God of Wealth (財神 choy sun, caishen) ! One of the most popular figures in Chinatown’s festivities, the God of Wealth will be sharing blessings for all and passing out lucky treats for the little ones.

Step back through the decades and experience the vibrant tapestry of Lunar New Year celebrations in Chinatown through a captivating projection of archival images. Images provided by the Chinatown community will be displayed above the Chinatown Storytelling Centre on the Chin Wing Chun Society building.

Explore the vibrant history of Vancouver’s Chinatown through interactive exhibits filled with stories from the people who lived, worked and played there.

The Chinatown Storytelling Centre is Canada’s first permanent home for the stories of Vancouver’s chinatown past and present. Its work focuses on the cultural revitalization of the historic neighbourhood.
