Join us for a fun and exciting evening at the Chinatown Cocktail Showdown, a special pre-festival event for Taste of Chinatown!

This vibrant tasting event features eight of Chinatown's finest bars and restaurants, including Bagheera, Bao Bei, Chickadee, Fiorino, Keefer Bar, Kissa Tanto, Laowai, and Meo (opening soon), where they'll engage in a friendly competition to showcase their mixology excellence.

Each establishment will craft a unique cocktail using an ingredient sourced from a Chinatown legacy business and spirits sponsored by Diageo. Tickets include 8 tastings of each cocktail creation and food samplings from Chinatown BBQ, DD Mau, and Juke Fried Chicken.

All guests will be provided a scorecard to rank their top three cocktails, alongside a panel of five judges. Two awards will be given – the ‘Popular Vote’ (decided by you and the other guests) and the ‘Judge’s Vote’ (decided by the panel of judges).

Our panel of mixology enthusiasts includes Lee Man, Founding Judge of the Chinese Restaurant Awards; world class award-winning bartenders Kaitlyn Stewart and Jeff Savage, Jared Schmidt, Bar Manager at Anh and Chi Restaurant Group; and Vancouver lifestyle influencer Viranlly Liemena.
